If your business provides services, uses a queue and/or appointments, , your business may benefit from Skotl. Your business must operate out of a physical address in one of the 50 United States or District of Columbia.
Your store needs at least one tablet for your employees to manage the queue. Customers who join the queue remotely will need your employees' assistance to check in. Walk-in customers will need your employees assistance to join the queue.
If your store has a second tablet dedicated for your customers, they will be able to join the queue when they walk-in or check-in themselves if they have joined the queue remotely. Your employees won't have to check them in.
You can create multiple businesses under one owner account. You can maintain a master list of employees and services and assign specific employees and services to each business.
Skotl doesn't support more than one queue out of the box. But there are ways to implement this configuration. Please contact us to explore alternatives.
Skotl requires a credit card to subscribe. But we will charge you only after the trial period (60 days by default) ends. This may be longer if you use a coupon. You may be eligible for discounts if you are a veteran or if your business serves an economically distressed community. Please contact us before you subscribe with evidence - we can not enable discounts retroactively. Eligibility for discounts is solely at the discretion of Skotl and have no cash value.
You can cancel anytime. But there is no refund for the remaining period of the subscribed month. The service will remain active until the end of the month regardless of whether you choose to use it or not. You might want to think ahead and cancel early so can avoid a full month's subscription charge.
Absolutely not. We handle all the complexity associated with managing the platform, so you can focus on providing the best service for your customers.
Skotl is designed to be a single platform used by multiple businesses. This allows customers to find any business easily and allows us to provide this service at affordable prices. We can host a separate server for you for a fee. Please contact us if you would like to discuss that arrangement.
For a system that allows customers to join the queues remotely, phony reservations on the queue are a matter of concern. We require customers to register and confirm their email address - an essential step to verifying the identity of the customer to some extent. Additionally, we keep track of their activity to identify activity that mimics phony reservations and lock out users that engage in fraudulent practices. Skotl is continuously improving its technology and processes to weed out fake reservations.
Customers register with Skotl. Skotl connects customers and businesses. Think of Skotl as the market place for queue management.
Skotl cannot process payments on your behalf at this time. You can continue using your existing payment processing systems and loyalty rewards system.
Skotl requires your employees to process queues in the system. This usually means a few taps in the system for every customer. You need to weigh this small change in your workflow against the convenience Skotl offers to your customers.
You, Your employees, and Skotl are partners in ensuring that the wait times are calculated as accurately as possible for your customers. Timely and accurate processing of your queue and appointments in the system is critical to ensuring this. Incorrect processing of queues will result in significant difference between the initial wait time estimates and the actual wait time and may lead to customer dissatisfaction with your business and adversely affect Skotl's reputation as a reliable platform. Skotl will listen to customer feedback and may terminate subscription for businesses that have persistent problems with queue timeliness.
